”I love this amp! It took a while for the amp, and my ears, to break in. I had been listening to my Rogue ST-100 for a few months before I bought the Allnic, so the presentation was quite different, with the Rogue presenting a larger, more transparent image, with a quieter background. The Allnic seemed more crowded, but the image density was appealing, and it hinted at a tonality I hadn't heard with the Rogue. Now, after 100 hours, the Allnic has developed a blacker background with a greater sense of space, and the tonality is superb. In 60 years of listening I haven't heard an amp that provided a more "musical" accuracy. I have a few quibbles with the PT Audiophile review, in that this amp does definitely NOT sound like a solid state amp, nor does it sound like a 250-watt amp. Rather, It's very clearly a tube amp with a tube fullness; and, of course, my Magico A4's would love a couple hundred more more watts to give me the slam I sometimes crave. But that's what big SS amps are for, and I have a few of those already. BTW, I put the Rogue back into my system last night and, while it still presented a clean and robust image, tonally it sounded almost threadbare and gray by comparison (no knock on the Rogue, it's a fine amp in its own right).
